IngredientsFor the rolls: • 3 (12.4-ounce) containers refrigerated cinnamon roll dough • 8 1/2 ounces caramel dessert sauce • 4 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced • cinnamon, to taste • brown sugar, to taste For the caramel frosting: • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened • 3 tablespoons butter, softened • 1/2 cup caramel dessert sauce • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar, plus more to taste • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Grease 2 cookie sheets.
Open up the cinnamon roll dough and unroll it into two large rectangles.
Spread the 8 1/2 ounces of caramel dessert sauce over the dough.
Layer the apple slices on top of the caramel.
Sprinkle the cinnamon and brown sugar on top of the apples.
Roll the dough into a long tube, being careful not to let the apples or caramel sauce spill out.
Cut the dough into 1-1/2-inch slices and place the slices on the greased sheets.
Bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
