• 1/3 cup whole coffee beans • 1 1/2 cups cold water • ice, to taste • milk, optional, of your choice, to taste • sweetener, optional, of your choice, to taste


Step 1

Grind the coffee beans in a grinder until coarse.

Step 2

Place the coarse coffee grounds in the center of a 6x6-inch cheesecloth.

Step 3

Tie the cheesecloth off with kitchen twine.

Step 4

Place the cheesecloth in a mason jar or different 2 cup glass container.

Step 5

Add the cold water.

Step 6

Tightly seal the container.

Step 7

Refrigerate and allow the coffee to steep for at least 12 hours, with the best results coming from steeping for 18-24 hours.

Step 8

Remove the cheesecloth, squeezing as much liquid as possible back into the glass container.

Step 9

Serve the coffee over ice with your favorite creamer and sweetener.
