Such miracles shouldn’t be possible! Healthy Iced Vanilla Donuts have the moist, cake-like texture and the sweet floral vanilla icing of a donut shop treat! Why would you ever stop by the coffee shop for a snack when you could have these instead?

For the donuts: • 1 cup all-purpose flour • 6 tablespoons white sugar • 1 teaspoon baking powder • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon • 1/2 teaspoon salt • 6 tablespoons buttermilk • 1 egg • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract • 1 tablespoon butter, melted For the glaze: • 1/2 cup powdered sugar • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract • 1 teaspoon milk or heavy cream, plus more as needed

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.

Step 2

Lightly grease a donut pan.

Step 3

Mix together the flour, the white sugar, the baking powder, the cinnamon, and the salt in a large mixing bowl.

Step 4

Whisk in the buttermilk, the egg, the vanilla, and the melted butter.

Step 5

Use a spoon to equally distribute the batter into the donut pan.

Step 6
