• 2/3 cup pumpkin puree • 1/4 cup peanut butter • 2 large eggs • 2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour, plus more as needed and for flouring a work surface.

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat; set aside.

Step 3

In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the pumpkin puree, peanut butter, and eggs on medium-high speed until well combined, about 1-2 minutes.

Step 4

Gradually add the 2 1/2 cups of flour at low speed, beating just until incorporated. Add an additional 1/4 cup flour at a time just until the dough is no longer sticky.

Step 5

Working on a lightly floured surface, knead the dough 3-4 times until it comes together.

Step 6

Using a rolling pin, roll the dough to 1/4-inch thickness.

Step 7

Using cookie cutters, cut out your desired shapes and place them onto the prepared baking sheet.

Step 8

Place the dog treats into the oven and bake until the edges are golden brown, about 20-25 minutes.

Step 9

Let the treats cool completely.

Step 10

Give to your canine friend when they are being good.
