You can hear and smell these crispy, crunchy chips before you see them! Homemade Pita Chips go well with hummus, guacamole, salsa, or just by themselves. They’re ridiculously easy to make as well: just fifteen minutes and three ingredients at most to make the best chips you could ever want! Homemade Pita Chips means ditching the store-bought bags forever!

• 1 medium whole wheat pita bread • olive oil cooking spray • garlic salt or other seasonings, to taste

Editor's Notes:

Don't worry if they seem a little pliable when you take them out of the oven. They will crisp up in about 1 minute after coming out of the oven.

Step 1

Set your oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2

Open the pita and separate it into two sides.

Step 3

Cut each side into quarters and stack the quarters.

Step 4

Cut each stack into 5 triangles, so that you have a total of 20 pieces.

Step 5

Lay the pita triangles on a cooking sheet in a single layer.

Step 6

Spray each triangle with oil oil cooking spray.

Step 7

Sprinkle the garlic salt lightly on each triangle.

Step 8

Place the baking sheet into the oven and bake until the edges of the pita chips are golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
