One Pan Tortellini with Sausage

• 11 ounces Italian sausages, removed from the cases and crumbled • 3 cloves garlic, minced • 1/4 cup chicken broth • 1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes, with juices • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream • 1 (9 ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini • 2 cups fresh baby spinach, loosely packed • salt, to taste • pepper, to taste • parmesan cheese, freshly grated, to taste


Step 1

In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium-high heat on the stove-top, stirring occasionally until it's browned.

Step 2

Drain the fat and leave the sausage in the pan.

Step 3

Add the garlic, chicken broth, diced tomatoes, cream, and tortellini.

Step 4

Cook until the tortellini is cooked and the sauce has reduced to your desired thickness, about 5-7 minutes.

Step 5

Stir in the spinach and cook until wilted.

Step 6

Season with salt and pepper and serve with fresh parmesan sprinkled over top.
