Ingredients• 6 slices thick-cut bacon • 1 (32 ounce) bag frozen tater tots • 2 cups cheddar cheese or Colby Jack blend, shredded • 3 large chicken breasts, boneless, skinless, and cut into 1-inch cubes • 3/4 teaspoon salt • 1/2 teaspoon pepper • 1 teaspoon garlic powder • 1 teaspoon onion powder • 2/3 cup milk, 2% or whole milk
Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
Place the bacon in the skillet and cook the bacon until crispy.
Remove the bacon from the skillet and drain on top of a paper towel.
Let cool, and then crumble the bacon.
Spray the pot of a slow cooker with non-stick spray.
Place half of the tater tots in an even layer in the slow cooker.
Top the layer of frozen tater tots with 1/3 of the cheese and 1/2 of the crumbled bacon.
Place the chicken on top of the cheese and bacon layer.
Season the chicken with the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Spread 1/3 of the cheese on top of the seasoned chicken.
Place the remaining tater tots over the cheese in an even layer.
Top with the remaining 1/3 of the cheese and the remaining bacon.
Pour the milk over the top of the entire dish.
Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on high until the chicken is cooked through, about 3 hours.
